I love you in the closet where it is safe and cold

Where I shelter our ember and no one knows

How my heart bursts and quakes from your whisper’s voice

And what’s hidden belies that familiar choice

‘Tis all that I have not to pull you near

But in life we all wait through impending fear

Seeking spirits that roam around every bend

An Array of flowers and patterns that have no end

Though our ember shines brightly in its diamond trance,

What brilliance lay yonder if I allowed the chance?

So sweet do you taste, but what can I do?

But sit and wait here for gems rarer than you.
